At the heart of the Boaz family are our wonderful volunteers who pitch in alongside members and staff.

Together we enable and encourage individuals with learning disabilities to take part in a range of activities whether that is feeding the chickens or potting plants in the greenhouse.

Many people volunteer for a half-day session, others a whole day or even more but all are vital to our work.

“It doesn’t matter if you come here feeling happy or sad, you always leave with a smile on your face. It’s the feel-good factor.”

Lydia, volunteer

You can learn new skills and try different areas, such as horticulture, arts and crafts, woodwork, animal husbandry, cooking or baking. Perhaps you have valuable skills and experience to share? All you need is patience and a desire to help.

Why not spend a morning with us, meet new people and become part of a great team?
