Celebrate a Loved One’s Legacy

At Boaz, we are continually humbled by the generosity and kindness of our community, especially during times of loss.

Several families of our members and volunteers have chosen to make donations in memory of their loved ones through the Much Loved platform, creating a meaningful way to celebrate their lives while supporting the vital work we do.

A MuchLoved tribute is a personal space to remember a special person. You can add photos, videos, and memories. Each page is customizable, allowing donations to Boaz, sharing memories, and organizing fundraising efforts. The tribute remains as a lasting memorial, with no cost to maintain.

Every donation, whether big or small, makes a real difference by supporting programs that empower adults with learning disabilities. By giving, you’re helping to ensure that individuals continue to have the opportunity to thrive in a safe and supportive environment and creating a lasting legacy.

We are truly thankful to the families who have chosen to honour their loved ones through this meaningful act. Their generosity ensures that their legacy lives on, and we are privileged to carry forward their support for the Boaz Project.

One Story

When Audrey Coates died aged 89, her family asked friends and relatives to make donations to Boaz instead of sending flowers.

It was a cause very close to the family’s heart. Audrey’s granddaughter Louise has been a member of Boaz for seven years, and Audrey herself loved coming along to our Christmas carol concerts and summer fetes.

An amazing £1,150 was raised in Audrey’s memory, using a memorial page on MuchLoved. The money has helped us replace an old wooden fruit cage in our allotment garden with a new metal one.

Audrey’s family recently came to Boaz to unveil a plaque in her memory – and see how their generous donations are making a difference.

Audrey’s son Peter said:

“Mum was very close to Louise. We wanted to do something in Mum’s memory that would benefit Louise. A place like Boaz is worth its weight in gold.”

For Louise, Boaz is a place to enjoy gardening, crafts, singing and, most importantly, friendship.

Her mum Suzanne said:

“Boaz is a local charity doing good work that is of benefit to Louise.”

We’re incredibly grateful to Audrey’s family and everyone who donated in her memory. 💚
