Boaz received £1500 boost from Waitrose shoppers

We’ve got some lovely news to share!

Thanks to the generosity of Waitrose shoppers, the Boaz Project has received a fantastic £1,500 donation through the Community Matters scheme at the Winnall store.

Boaz was one of three local causes chosen to take part, with shoppers voting for their favourite by adding green tokens to the collection boxes. And, as our volunteer Sandra watched the pile of tokens grow, it became clear that Boaz had plenty of support!

“The pile of tokens was getting bigger and bigger. It looked like a mountain!”

The donation was presented to Boaz by Waitrose team leader Jonathan Mace and supervisor Sam Holbrook, alongside Boaz member Amy and volunteer Sandra.

This generous gift will help us continue providing a safe, welcoming place where our members can learn new skills, grow in confidence and make lasting friendships.

Amy, who comes to Boaz once a week, knows exactly what she enjoys:

“I like painting best, meeting my friends and baking cakes. I also love filling the boxes with eggs, but I don’t like washing up!”
